Yes, it's a small plastic disk with a hole in the center located inside of the fitting indicated in the diagram.

I helped Tobz (thanks again) to remove mine yesterday at his shop and I love it. The stock engagement point sucks for me because I have to lift my heel off the ground to properly slip or let out the clutch. Having the restrictor out gives the clutch what I think is a more natural engagement point closer to the floor. Shifting is now much more comfortable and I'm able to make aggressive shifts much quicker than I could before. I only wish I'd known about this sooner, it's honestly one of my favorite mod's.

I'm glad you guys posted this. I hate the high engagement of my clutch.

The restrictor on the 8/9's is also on the clutch slave cylinder essentially the same as you see here.

Alright I just did this to see the difference..... Does seem to give a better feel to the clutch... Just went for a quick drive though nothing crazy.

FYI... This is inside the banjo fitting as above poster showed... Remove banjo bolt then I "wiggled the "check valve" with my finger to get it to fall out of the slave cylinder.

Couple of pics of the "check valve" or whatever you feel like calling it... lol

wont be slipping the clutch for as long when starting off from a stop.

Its there for people that THINK or can't drive manual so they don't put a ton of shock on the drive train at once. Think of it as screen door. It will close fast but right before it the latch it slows down and easily shuts and locks. Same thing with the clutch.

The stock clutch feels like the engagment point is always changing due to that pill. Taken it out and its like a honda clutch = I love.

So does that mean if my wife (still learning to driver manual) drivers the car, it should be better to keep it until she is master on clutch?

take it out, so the clutch engagement doesnt change everytime you push in the clutch.
