60000 Mile Service
Not sure if this is the right place or not but hopefully it is.
I have heard this 60000 Mile service is one of the most important you will do. I see alot of places that do these service as well as the dealership. Is it better to take it to the dealership to have it done or can one of these mechanic places that say they do it do the same things?
Thanks.

its pretty important. they will change your timing belts, and water pump, amongst other things.
but getting the timing belt done is essential, cos if it breaks your fncked.
If you have the money, then i would reccomend taking it to a dealership.
I am lucky and my friend in a mechanic, so he did mine for free.

buy the parts: timing belt, water pump, timing belt tensioner, alternator belt, serpantine belt and even better get the lighter crank shaft pulley from RRM. (some people say to change the thermostat as well.. i didn't though).
The labour of it from a regular mechanic who charges $60 n hour , it ends up being $260. Since doing the timing belt change removes all those components anyways, there is no extra labour for those parts.
