ok to drive with bad transfer case?
i just got back from a local auto shop to check wierd noises from the front, and he said i have a blown or bad transfer case. i'm leaving to northern california on thursday and dont have time for the dealer to replace it. just wanted to know if its ok to drive there and back. any thought is great. oh i also saw the mechanic put some other fluid in when he looked at it, i no its not diaqueen or anything like that is it ok also.

NO don't do it.. I had problems with the transfer case in the past, it will eventually lock up your car, mine did that to me on the freeway in Kentucky..
if you ignore it you risk having to replace the driveshaft as well..
