Gotta start looking to the future.

Also, I have dismounted my 255mm A052 tires off the 17x9.5" TC105X wheels. If anyone is looking for either or, let me know as they are still for sale!

Realistically, we probably should just have a general SCCA Autox catch all thread instead.

Any status updates on your evo my friend?

Another autox in the books. I had the pleasure of co-driving Ryan's SSP evo. What a flipping treat to drive. Same chassis, but our cars are very much different in ways.

Here's the initial video:

So I swapped from fortune auto 510s to the FA pro 2 ways. Went from 10k/12.5k to 12/14k springs. First event on them in September I had more pushy behavior. Back end wouldnt rotate too much, maybe a tiny bit gassing it. But I stiffened up my rear bar and put the front bar at a softer rate. Todays event while running almost the same coilover settings, i was getting some crazy bouncing in my rear on corner exceleration. My rebound was at 5out of 24 clicks, so it was pretty damn low as it could go. I didnt try any lower rebound. My compression was 16/24 and I ran 14 fine last event. Not sure if the different bar rates is causing the bouncing but i lowered my compression from 16 to 12. This helped a nice bit but was still having a little bouncyness, so i lowered it by 2 more. It didn't 100% fix it but I kept it at 10/24 compared to 16/24.

Anywho, I was able to get top pax at todays event which is nice, havent gotten a top pax in a long while. I saw an instagram vid(lol) where it was talking about steering with your rear instead of the fronts. So This event there were some corners which you could carry/accel a lot in this parking lot, so I gassed it earlier than normal in these sections. I felt like it unlocked something in my brain. Even though it isn't a ton of rotation, but it was enough to get me there a tiny bit their faster and angled a little better. Also, while braking in the middle of a turn, into the slalom caused my rear to slide just the right amount while going into the slalom at the 0:22 second mark. Maybe something I need to play with more.

Tell us more about the areas of the course that led to hopping? Is that lot completely smooth or are there undulations?

This is a big issue I'm trying to focus on this coming year - to see if I can dial this out. It reared it's ugly head a bit at Nationals on day 1 for me. We have another TNT/points event in late October in Lincoln that I'm hoping to attend after making some changes.

The course for sure has a nice bit of undulation going on. But it was most noticeable when I was accelerating out of corners at the 11 second mark, 17 and 30 second mark. Even though turning compression down a nice bit I was still getting the bouncyness but not as bad. You can hear the engine at the 17 second and 30 second mark kinda go on and off as it does the bounces. I heard from spectators that I was doing a ton of 3 wheeling. Since stiffening the rear bar more, I get easier inside tire lift. I wonder if it could be from being on 3 wheels while accelerating and the inner tire then makes contact with the ground and thus the bouncy/engine going on and off.

I had some weird hopping(oscillating) on the front end several months ago and I might have addressed it by greasing my FSB bushings. the issue just disappeared so now I keep it well lubed. I had the rear hopping recently so I will try to grease the RSB

Hmmmm I'll have to try greasing the RSB. It was the whiteline one that came with the bar and I recall it was a greaseless one or something, so i never added any loob. Is there any specific type of grease that should be used on it?

It should be lubricated. I tried the grease that came with the bushings, even axle grease but they all just squirt out and turn into some dry soap material. I've tried white lithium grease - this doesnt dry out - my controlarm bushings got this. if you have the bushings that has grooves for the grease (non-whiteline?) you might need to clean it first
just disconnect both endlinks and move the bar up/down it should be smooth, if not then it needs lubed
