DC Area Evo Crash

Heard about this on the news. Sorry if this is a repost, but we lost another evo owner in the DC area today in Fairfax due to speed. I think they said his name was David Brant. Car's mashed up pretty bad too. He was racing a BMW. Street Racing =

R.i.P. Condolances to family and friends. He modded his car so may have been a member on evom.net

I used to race back then when I had my MR2 Turbo in the highway with a Porche928. You can say I used my head a little because I was going at around 100mph. I feel my car shakes a little due to the lug nuts weren't tighten correctly. I backed out of that situation. Anyways, it's tempting when it comes to street racing but I always tell myself, the Evo, stock wise, is almost as fast as the Corvette, there's not need to waste gas on some idiot on the road. Besides, tickets don't come cheat...

I feel sorry for the poor guy. Hope he's watching down on us Evo drivers. Go in peace whoever you are....

this is the reason i have changed my driving habits.....

all i keep hearing about is people dying in street racing
just in the last 2 months, i think like 4 people died around here
what a stupid way to die, just trying to prove whos car is faster.
how fast your car is dont mean sh*t in life

RIP to the deceased EVO driver.

Lets just take it to the track guys....

My guess is that he took the exit ramp too fast and slid off......

Man, oh man. Very sad, so many people this stupid way. Even though I didn't know this guy, it still feel very bad and sad. As much as I liked to drive fast on the street, I gotta admit, it's time to slow down!

WTF?!?! Why race on the street?!?! Especially in the DC area with so many good racetracks around?

Only three things can happen when you street race... 1) you crash and survive 2) you crash and die 3) you don't crash. 1 & 2 seem to happen more often than not.

Not to mention street racing endangers everyone else on the road.

Hopefully other "street racers" learn from this guy's mistake...
