AEM AFR X-Series Serial Port = Random Number Generator
Hey Everyone!
I've been struggling with this for a bit and tried reading through previous posts to diagnose this on my own, but cannot figure it out.
Essentially I'm trying to use the Serial Output from an AEM X-Series Wideband Gauge into EvoScan. This is the last step before I can re-tune the vehicle.
On the gauge itself, it shows the correct values (14.7 @ cruising/idle, 11.3 at WOT etc), but when I plug into the serial output I essentially get a random number generator as shown:
I've been through and re-soldered both the signal wire (blue) from the AEM gauge + re-did the ground wire. Neither of these proved to give me anything. Also tried a few different COMM ports (1,2,3) without any real change.
I also went through Hyper Terminal to confirm it wasn't something goofy with EvoScan. It shows the same just bouncing all over the place values that don't really make any sense.
I've ordered a new serial to USB cable as that's the only thing I can still think of that could be messing things up, but do you guys have any other suggestions or have seen this particular issue before?
Thank you for in advance for helping bring me to Speed Density Valhalla!
