Ugh, that is a ridiculous.
There is absolutely no reason why anyone should be so low as to do such a thing.
Where did this happen by the way? Was it in the lot on Cricket ave. behind the pizza place and party store?
Did you notify the Lower Merion Police? Normally I'd say police would be a waste of time, but with the number of police in LM they could probably start a task force.

So I got the estimate from the bodyshop, $1050 for the repaint and reclear. Covered by the vandalism clause in my State Farm policy. So thats good, but I have to make sure not to touch the whole side of the car for three months while the clear coat hardens.

I know exactly how you feel, someone did the same thing to my wifes car (not the EVO) mazda 3, brand new, 3 month of owning it. Some asswipe decided to key the whole side. It happened in front of my house. I took required measures to catch the SOB and when I will I'll give them my piece of mind...
