EVO engine swap to 3000 gt engine??

hey guys

my buddy is tryin to sell me his engine. The engine is of a 97 3000gt vr 4. It was recently built and can handle up to 1200 hp according to the mechanic. Its fully built with forged internals etc.

Now i know this is sort of a wierd question, but will/can that engine be put into my 06 IX mr. I know i will have to spend some money. Will it work with my tranny, be cost effective, will there be enough room for it???

anyone done a motor swap on their Evo??

Let me know please. Just trying to see if it is possible

Thanks

You shouln't do it! It would be much cheaper to build your 4g63! I doubt it will work with your tranny... I believe there is enough room as i have seen a V8 350 on one. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! MONEY TALKS!

Why? I actually saw a Stealth RT with a 4G63 power before. If you want to be unique then go for it. But buy an '03 Evo and hack it up.

Of course you should do it, because we all know the 4G63T has absolutely no potential

Ever look at the engine bay in a 3kGT? Everything's so crammed in there its not even funny...now imagine trying to stuff all that into a smaller hole.

that would be an interesting project.. but really, a 3kGT engine is a pain to work on already, with how much room is in the engine bay of 3kGT, farless and Evo... i would go w/ a rb26dett from a gtr instead.... if its a twin turbo 6 cyl you want.. that would be cool!

i def wouldnt hack up a evo 9 either... find a used 8 cheap... or just get a 3kgt vr4...

My guess is ifyou are asking if it can be done, you aren't inclined enough to do it in the first place..
